Starting Out

So you want to know a good place to start for anime....

Most people that like anime, start out with video games.  They dive into an rpg and see an awesome cut scene and think "God they should make more of those.  I'd like to see it."  A lot of the time the whole polygon/cell shaded look is what draws people to enjoying it.  RPG's are often notorious for encouraging people to like anime because their characters generally look like anime people themselves.

A good starting place is to just go out there and search for "anime" in a search engine, browse through pictures and find reviews to find one you think you might like.  TO save you some trouble, I'll list some titles that everyone seems to enjoy or that I think are really awesome:
 
Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Rurouni Kenshin, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Wolf's Rain, Hellsing....etc.
